A weak pistol, minimal battle power. This weapon is very bad for combat as seen in MnB2. Luckily this isn't too commonly seen as M-14 and M-16. You have about same changes of getting a soldier with this weapon as the chance of getting a soldier with M-60, M-40, Mossberg 500 or M3 Grease Gun. Though, a soldier with high accuracy can actually kill someone if placed on the trench near the edge of the forest as when a VC soldier comes out of the forest into the open, he is very close to the soldier with pistol and pistols were made to kill someone from close range. They are not effective when assaulting enemy positions and men with pistol are best as meatshields or sent directly at the enemy so they might have a chance of killing him or getting into a CQC fight with him.
It is also seen in Mud and Blood 2.
The M1911 (the '1911' suffix comes from the year it was adopted by the US Army, after extensive tests) was the standard pistol for the US Army right up until the early 1990s, when it was replaced by the M9. It did not change much from the original award winning design, apart from minor alterations following WW1. 1.9 million of these were produced over the course of the Second World War, and many of them would still be being used in the Vietnam war. It is a semi-automatic pistol which fires .45 caliber rounds and has a capacity of 7 bullets.
