What was the wave # when taunts stop adding a wave?


I didn't even know that taunt stops working at certain point :/ --Hyyppa

After a certain wave, taunt stops adding 1 to your wave count, but still sends more soldiers and gives you 1 TP. (Or at least I'm pretty sure it does)


I've experienced that myself. Sometime over wave 100, certainly. Maybe it's after 100 taunts or something like that? -Branabus, minor

I'm fairly sure it was either 50, 60, or 100. Damn memory..


So in my game, taunt stopped working at wave 65, with a DO crate, so I'm assuming it normally stops at 50, but is affected by DOs.


The figure of 70 that HeinkelWolf added is interesting. It seems to me that taunting begins to fail at wave 35. --Bersimontalk Admin 13:53, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

The figure only affects whether internal / external wave increases or not. Taunting can fail at any time.

..uh. Sorry, guys. I did a rain check, and it seems that post kills 200~220, the figure is not increased.. -HeinkelWolf 15:11, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

Taunts before wave 50

Am I getting it right, that before wave 50 taunting gives 1TP and increases visible wave count by 1. In other words, you just increase game speed and nothing else? --Kuppuswami 12:28, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

I am under the impression that taunting starts failing at wave 35. Urb said this once: "222s have as much chances to spawn in the start as pak in normal mode, unless you taunt of course". So taunting changes something in the spawn tables? --Bersimontalk Admin 12:54, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
What would mean 222s spawn earlier if you taunt, right? Early taunting gets pretty unattractive though ... "taunts fail at wave 35", haven't noticed so far. Only the obvious failures when approaching the next century of enemies --Kuppuswami 14:20, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
Taunting begins failing when the game reaches a multiple of 100 enemy units deployed, and after it hits 100, Tactics Change. I'll add it to my To Do list to find how many units it takes before the taunts begin to fail. (Rough guess would be 75ish) --Brutalized 18:27, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
