Hello and Welcome to Death23's Para Drop strat, after extensive testing and absolutely no sneaky profile cheats, I have devised a Para Drop Strat. I have got the Para Challenge but I reset my profile to get a screenie of gaining it in the actual battle but alas the game I was taking screenies of ended when the double click glitch failed to move my soldier out of the way, two men died in CQC and the third won his only to be blown into little giblets by a PAK-38.

Para Analysis

The Paratrooper is a hardy unit, they deploy with better standard weapons and augmented stats, the Paratrooper, if it was deployable with less risk, may be a replacement for Spec-ops.

The Paratrooper is an often overlooked unit, due to the risk of trees, they are normally unused in major strategies, but the new patch, along with bringing a new deploy mode to the game, they have added a great many new things exclusive to paratroopers.

The Sticky Bomb

A greasy sock stuffed with explosive, now your crates of socks provide more than situational comfort, they can blow up a tank!

Airborne Med-kit

Although slow at times, and ineffective, this is a reasonably useful thing to have, only use when heroism fails you.

Airborne built sandbags

These constructions are slightly less protective than regular sandbags these are very useful to have when fortifying.

Weaponry

Thompson SMG A decent weapon at close range, but a small clip size and low accuracy from afar mean that this weapon is not among my first choice. Medium Clip, quick fire rate.

Springfield Rifle The starting weapon of grunts, Frenchies and sigs. This weapon is a killer when given to a high ranker but not the ideal choice at low experience. Medium clip, slow fire rate.

M1 Carbine Garand or Carbine, such a hard decision, I choose the Carbine I have had better experiences with the Carbine then Garand. Medium Fire rate, Medium Clip

The Guide

Deployment

Click that pretty little parachute in your deploy screen and pray you get no trees. If you do, wait until all survivors are gathered and hand out healing kits for the first few waves.

Then advance, i've noticed that after drop the paras will cluster around the centre of the screen, so tell them to advance in line formation like so: LDR1.png After advancing one screen, send two paras up either side and wait for the next wave, kill it and move up again.


This is how you should start the screen: LDR2.png Whilst advancing, give all soldiers a Bayonet and Grenades, any soldiers with Shotguns a Carbine or Garand depending on personal preference and all riflemen RGs, so you have some fully tooled up Paras.

LDR3.png Keep advancing until you hit wave 50, by then you should be ready with some lovely Paras itching to kill. Your Paras should be at least Sarge by now and have 30+ rifle and Morale. If 2 or more paras have been killed in this time then save up and call in some reinforcements, so as not to break your 6 man rule and risk the wrath of German Support. If you had to call in reinforcements spend the next 10 waves getting them ready with 'nades and bayonets, which are a godsend in CQC.

Fortification

Remove all forms of thrown ordnance and move your BEST soldiers to the bottom of the field, with a sandbag or two each, then put your worst soldier to the side, on the left of the screen, maybe 3/4 of the way up. He will be your sockbomber.

Now comes the wait, sockbomb any tanks and heroism all your soldiers, starting with the sock bomber first, when you get to wave 100, start yelling in relief and dance on your head.
