Description:
Used only by paratroopers, very deadly.

The FG42 was a specially made weapon for the German Fallschirmjägers, the German paratroopers. The FG42 is a select fire assault rifle, but the Germans in-game use it on semi-auto only (lucky for you). It is very accurate and has good damage. In a paratrooper blitz wave, it can be deadly because of the sheer amount of paratroopers.

Real Life

The FG42 was produced on a very small scale (only about 3000 were built), since it was mostly used by paratroopers. It was also a relatively heavy weapon. It could be fitted with a scope on special operations. It had both Machine Gun Capabilities in its fully-automatic fire mode, but boasted an phenominal sniper accuracy when properly equiped and fired in its semi-automatic function. It had a magazine that was mounted on the side of the weapon and could be reloaded quickly. The FG42 was a very versatile battle rifle similiar from what is commonly used today on the modern battle field.
