burn them. burn them all and if the house burn with them.. that’s cool to.

  • Man this is clean af. Nice art dude.

  • Thanks for your input Reon. Recon is far from completed and you brought some good points.

Map square: No. It has been suggested before. If you pan your camera away from your squad it simulates you teams listening to the jungle. This is an uncertain exercise. Part of proper maneuvering is to assess your position in reference of where you gage it…[Read more]

Mud and Blood 2 Review: Slaughter and Slog

mud and blood 2 review from 2014

    • Check out the first picture with the Sherman.
      Look at the TP counter.
      I say hax!

      • Think boss was wrong there, you don´t need AAA guns to get that ribbo.

      • NAN TP eee. He played that cracked first open version that circulated the web like a plague I would assume or a test version from urbzz perhaps.
CAS kills also count and maybe even more Flack related explosive kills.

  • All good suggestions. It is a matter of coding them in the game.

  • My initial response was in reaction to Arise video which, although a good argument, not representing reality. I hope you all understand why after reading my first answer.

As for the feed back: let me write a wall of text here. This is mainly for those who enjoy discussing mechanics. For the others tldr: great ideas but it is a question of…[Read more]

@sadisticsatan Hi Ryan tester group is now capped at 10. if it drops to 9 feel free to message Lance and a board will sit in order to see who’s coming in.

  • Currently the intent is for when a player gets beaten the game auto adjust to be a slightly easier. If the player gets better the game gets slightly harder. The mechanics are not there to support or encourage running 100 days in advance. You won’t make it there without cheating it is simply not a thing. Again, the game gets gradually harder, until…[Read more]

seamless means there’s no board as you progress the game generates terrain, but this means it is hard to come back on your track since the game doesnt save much or everything you’ve passed.

    • Maybe the game could save the terrain within say 5 screens in any direction from the player. Everything outside of that would not be stored except for structures / sites the player has discovered. Sort of making it possible to learn an area and stay there for a while.

      • I agree with Reid. I had thought about this same idea when the problem with saving everything in the entire world was an issue. Also, I think that a player can set a camp (either manually or by putting up a shelter or cabin). Then the game could save everything within so many screens in each direction to remember your base camp area.

    • I don’t see any bad parts with things being seemless

Let’s be honest here we all turn into brigandage fairly quickly when we starve out there.

    • Yeah, I used to feel bad for raiding someone’s home… But they wern’t starving and/or freezing to death.

    • Ah, well most of my crimes lack justification haha. For instance I have given fellow wanderers all of my good items. Then, having earned their trust, I proceed to attack and kill them. With my items back along with some of theirs, a proceed to whistle casually away from the scene.

Perhaps it is wrong to play LW like GTA, but it is just too much fun.

Loaded allows more saving option seamless kinda push the players to move since the saving capabilities are more limited.

Quick question: Should last winter boards be seamless (no loading constant terrain generation) or loaded (like the old LW).

    • Loaded allows more saving option seamless kinda push the players to move since the saving capabilities are more limited.

    • I would prefer the houses that I loot to be loaded seamlessly… I mean uh…

    • so seamless means each board will be different each time ?

      • seamless means there’s no board as you progress the game generates terrain, but this means it is hard to come back on your track since the game doesnt save much or everything you’ve passed.

        • Maybe the game could save the terrain within say 5 screens in any direction from the player. Everything outside of that would not be stored except for structures / sites the player has discovered. Sort of making it possible to learn an area and stay there for a while.

    • Just that the game to remember the important object like house, terrain refresh seems fine for us. Set a limit range, when the map comes out that range then reset the map terrain.

I just wish to know, how hard will be when the game trying to remember the thing we have. I know the flash game shall have limit, so we are still going to write as…[Read more]

      • I know the slowing problem is come from the too large sol file, as every game data have to load from the same file. So can the flash game save with multiple file like this?

        View post on imgur.com

        • I would prefer that the game saves everything so that going to a previous field has everything that was there before including any changes you or the game made while away.
IDEA: Had this for the old version…
How about hexagonal fields? That way going diagonal would be a lot better.
Also: How about a small map pop up available for each…[Read more]

        • I would be interested to know if Flash could save to multiple files. Personally, I think the easiest way to work around all of Flash’s limitations is to build LW in Unity instead. That involves learning an entirely different workflow, a big hurdle, but the benefits are:

          – Much faster, larger, and more complex game world for LW.
          – More…[Read more]

    • My vote is for seamless! Loaded is fine, but I much prefer having an open world, pre-built and ready for exploring.

    • after reading through the comments im a little confused as to which is which, but i like the idea of everything saves.

    • I think loaded lends itself better to allowing things the player builds/changes in the world to stay changed and permanent which is very important in LW, I feel. Then again, maybe it’s also possible in seamless? It remains to be discussed, though ultimately stability will be key and above just about everything else.

Picture a fps or even a 3d pers shooter with the scale and replayability of Recon? I’d be playing only that. for the rest of my life.
