Made a video for you 🙂 Did well this time. I usually use my bolt action rifle as a last ditch effort to stop a swordsman. Still covered if under fire but able to shoot with a powerful shot.

I killed a truck with a machete. Going to replicate just to make sure.

Ah I found out it isn’t game over … it’s a brief pause before being thrown into combat again. What do you think of this survivor mode playstyle?

I was playing carefully because I was trying to get the golden star. My squad wasn’t best suited in engaging snipers I don’t think.

I regret moving him that way, if he’d come in from the East he would’ve probably been okay. Don’t worry about the advancements, I went through 2-3 fully medalled Frenchies by the end of the game. They held their own well and their wine for morale was invaluable. Saved a few pin from being pinned in the open … run a Frenchy up, drop wine, guy takes 3 sips, Frenchy takes one and they both run back down.

Will definitely consider using them again.

    Defeating a tiger!

    https://youtu.be/X4itv-in78Y

Took a while to properly engage it, but wasn’t too worried about it. The first round of artillery knocked out the engine making it immobile. Had to deal with some pesky mortars in this stage of the game. Once the squad gets within range of the Tiger they stay on the other side of the hedgerows to stay out of line of sight. Had a bit of fun lighting fire to those hiding in the hedgerows as well. Didn’t have or need an Engineer for this encounter … if it hadn’t been disabled by Artillery that may have been a different matter.

The buff coat sounds like a good idea, especially when you are expecting to be in a scrap. Wonder how it fares against bear claws.

Great play there. I think maybe this mission should be the first introductory mission. Gives the player a high supply to start and a pretty good supplies on recovery.

You really showed off those Recon units in the game. They were all over the place. Unsure on how the field hospital did … I assume well those since you didn’t lose the units. I have lost a few hospitals before they are not very durable. I only seem to build when the game is near the end :/ I have had field hospitals built and then run out of supplies which nulls the use of it.

I am disappointed with the tanks armor effectiveness against the VC. They seem to be able to damage it. Glad you brought out some grunts later on. Seems that Recon wasn’t quite up to pinning down the enemy and killing them all off in a pitched battle.

As for your question to me … I had a swift defeat in Khe San will see what I can do … but 10 NVA :s I am unsure … have to look on the wiki to get an idea what is best against the NVA

Posted this in Discord as well … Here is my Da Nang Video … and under an hour!

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xYf2TFgp3MIDLwsO1LNpJyl81e60f1tF/view?usp=sharing

Close to a 100 enemy platoon involved and over a 1000 dead! Some tank fights in there as well … I think in the end only 1 enemy tank was defeated.

What is a strategy for Da Drang?

50 Supplies. 3 minutes for an airdrop (150 supplies)

3 VC and 3 NVA platoons. 1 VC tunnel and 1 NVA HQ

    ===========
    My issue:
I am struggling on this one … I seem to do better with engineer platoons at start but never really seem to be doing well. The marines if spawned first aren’t able to engage the enemy well as they often are swarmed with enemy units. At the same time the VC seem to build quicker than I can destroy.

Does this problem only happen in MNB3 Full Screen mode?

    Try this …

    1. Use the Chrome browser
    2. open MNB3 in the normal (not fullscreen) mode.
    3. In the top right of Chrome click the 3 black dots.
    4. On the Zoom line click the icon that looks like a square. This will put it into Fullscreen mode.

If the issues are on both versions, this may not do anything.

When you leave the game … do you halt your troops?

When you come back to the game what day are you on and how far ahead/behind are you?

Do you have any extensions, tools, settings that might block saving the file? Do you have problems saving flash games on other sites?

@arise – How do you outlast the enemy helicopter? Sometimes they seem to stay for a long time and one of those swordsmen ends up cutting my character up.

Also … why is it when a player fails the helicopter LZ pickup that it always says Mission Complete yet the player can’t move in the next mission?

I found out today that Vigilante missions come with perks 😉 You’re not fighting nothing.

Oy I agree. I was a bit stubborn early on with the shield. Looking back at the princesses should’ve just robbed them … but don’t know if it would’ve done much good in this game. I’ve noticed I am not very consistent in what I say I will do and what I end up doing. I have found with dwarves that time is important … especially if afflicted. Will try another game. Current goal is to kill darn goblins. Even better would be to get a few dragons; even small ones.

This fight … was intense … go to about 15:10 to watch it. I wish I had copied the script, but I did scroll through it.

This Dwarf was not as lucky as my last video … but wow; the effort … that was A+ He hung in there by the tip of his beard.

I just defeated a Large Red Dragon in melee combat! Playing as a Dwarf. My initial weapon was soon lost … and I only had one other weapon in my possession. The Grim Reaper Scythe. Seems it may be the choice weapon of dwarfs. In the end the Ring was not found and the realm descended into chaos. So not quite Hero worthy

    – Day 89, You rolled a critical (18), slicing that Carrion Crawler in half. The creature is defeated!! You gain 1 experience points!!
    – Day 88, You rolled a critical (17), slicing that Large Red Dragon in half. The creature is defeated!! You gain 5 experience points!!
    – Day 88, You missed by rolling 21(8+13), which is lower than the attack score (28) of the Large Red Dragon. But luckily, you blocked the counter attack by a saving throw (3) under your defense score of 15!!
    – Day 88, Your dwarven resilience resists the curse effect.
    – Day 88, FUMBLE!! (You rolled a 1 on the d20). You managed to hit yourself with your weapon!!
    – Day 88, You missed by rolling 24(11+13), which is lower than the attack score (28) of the Large Red Dragon. You also missed your saving throw (16) which is over your defense score of15!! You lose 1 hit point.
    – Day 88, Your dwarven resilience resists the curse effect.
    – Day 88, You rolled a critical (18), delivering a crushing blow to the Large Red Dragon but the creature is still alive!!
    – Day 88, You rolled a critical (18), delivering a crushing blow to the Large Red Dragon but the creature is still alive!!
    – Day 88, You rolled a critical (20), delivering a crushing blow to the Large Red Dragon but the creature is still alive!!
    – Day 88, You rolled a critical (18), delivering a crushing blow to the Large Red Dragon but the creature is still alive!!
    – Day 88, You crit the Large Red Dragon with a 20, but sadly it resisted the damage!!
    – Day 88, You rolled a 28 (15+13), which beats the attack score (28) of the Large Red Dragon. The creature is still alive!!
    – Day 88, FUMBLE!! (You rolled a 1 on the d20). It is with a great display of clumsiness that you smash your beloved weapon into the ground. Your weapon is now useless.
    – Day 88, You missed by rolling 18(5+13), which is lower than the attack score (28) of the Large Red Dragon. But luckily, you blocked the counter attack by a saving throw (9) under your defense score of 15!!
    – Day 88, You missed by rolling 20(7+13), which is lower than the attack score (28) of the Large Red Dragon. But luckily, you blocked the counter attack by a saving throw (2) under your defense score of 15!!
    – Day 88, You ready your weapons and wave at this flying mass of anger and destruction.
    – Day 87, ~~~~CONGRATULATIONS, YOU JUST HAVE REACHED LEVEL 6!~~~~
