  • I feel heavily compelled to intervene and state immediately that intentional execution of critically injured Germans is not a thing the game should have as a function. Not even Patton’s 3rd Army is above the Geneva Conventions. Have fun ending up court marshaled halfway through France thanks to having ordered the execution of hundreds of German…[Read more]

Hedgerows are approximately 20 legs (days) long. Don’t remember the exact length between Treviere and Vier. The hedgerows are difficult, they are supposed to be difficult, and they were extremely difficult terrain to fight through. The area intel already states that men will die so the commander must be prepared for it.

Two heads of the Kerberos are dead, only one remains. Mosul has been captured and first independent reports have come in about the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi leaving only Raqqa still standing under control of ISIS. With the soon to begin offensive to lift the siege of Deir-Ez-Zor and the impeding attack on Tal Afar, ISIS as a caliphate will…[Read more]

  • Personal opinion when talking about soldier classes (excluding rifleman, medic and officer) is rank over everything. Rookie gunner wielding MG-42 is useless as he can’t hit anything nor barely pins anything either. Sergeant gunner with his 80-or-something rifle skill is extremely efficient even with the Lewis Gun. Same applies to all classes…[Read more]

  • The chance of German reinforcements spawning is based on RNG largely. How much one is ahead increases the chance alongside commander rank if I remember right. I am not entirely sure about the rank effecting the chance as it might have simply increased the amount of Germans spawned in a wave.

The mechanics might seem unfair but tactically, they…[Read more]

First of all: This is World War 2 and standard infantry section. We don’t have access to weapons not widely used in the theater, this “Hyde”-thing of yours (which does not even have actual picture of it) is not one of them.

    90-100 health? What?

Suppressive fire: Officer passive ability. No.

Half track: Stuart Light tank, officer 3rd…[Read more]

After the purge of the old site, the wiki also broke and became un-editable alongside few other issues which popped up. Currently there are no plans to update it since we can’t and the masters behind the wiki coding are AWOL/lack the time.

  • There really needs to be some work done to make everyone understand how the 3rd Army/4th Armored Division Forward Units actually worked. The men sent here were sent to die. This was punishment division more than anything else, the men transferred here had pissed off someone badly and this is the result. The few survivors of the assaults are…[Read more]

  • Lance, one question. How does any of those three suggestions fare with the goal of reaching Pisek on time? The primary goal of the whole game becomes irrelevant if those suggestions are added.

  • The men serving in the 3rd Army were often men who had managed to get themselves into a whole lot of trouble and were sent there from other units. One could call the advance unit a suicide section where men went to die. Those who spent a day in the forward unit and lived had redeemed themselves and were sent back to other units with a medal along…[Read more]

  • As far as I know, the reasons to stay ahead of schedule are to unlock certain ribbons which can only be gained by being ahead, to gain a higher score for work-in-progress reasons (bragging rights/promotions which are actually detrimental of sorts to the game due to the increased base difficulty) and to have a buffer in case of failures on the road…[Read more]

  • The promotion battle makes little sense, we are on the field during the attack and the high command is contacted at the end of the day with the results of the advance. Failure gives little xp while successful attack gives a big reward. The high command, Patton’s staff, decide should the forward section commander be promoted based on their actions…[Read more]

  • The damage and purge of the old site also caused aftershocks in the wiki. The editing functions are broken leaving us unable to edit it at all. Urb has not fixed it yet and Bersimon/Branabus have been AWOL for years.

  • My personal opinion regarding being behind/ahead of schedule:

If the player is ahead of schedule, they have punched their way through the German battlelines deeper than historically and are pushing ahead of the other divisions in the area. That means the Germans are forced to attempt to close the breach by sending more troops against the…[Read more]

  • This one is going to be a long post.

After two weeks of not being able to play, I got around to testing MnB3 again. Reset my profile and deployed to Omaha beach. Im not sure why the de-bug shows me playing D-Day +2, one day behind, even though I am playing on a fresh profile (tested it twice). Didn’t get far, maybe three screens away) until I…[Read more]
