it’s pretty easy actually, they’re just regular GIs with 30 rifle skills except with the ability to all heal eachother. They can just be bullet-sponge off damage.

Let’s put it this way. I was the first person to test play Recon and I did a lot of testing before most of the world even got to see the game. 😉

Another issue i seem to have found is MG gunners (german gunners) seem to freeze up whenever you pause during their firing animation.

I’d like to put my two cents in and report some of the following bugs I’ve found while playing.
Currently on D-day 48+, ahead of schedule by 1+ days.
-Dead/alive Germans tend to move after they’ve already been downed. Basically, they have the downed animation yet still move statically and fire, then they return back to normal position.

I’ve been stuck on hedgerows on day 11 for the past couple of days. Every time i seem to advance and halt a couple days ahead, they just reinforce the area like 3-5 times and i end up being pushed back until i advance a couple days again. General TIP: The game design is so that the more days you are ahead the harder it will be since you are basically behind enemy lines.
How far ahead you can keep playing is sort of like your own difficulty setting.
You…[Read more]hedgerows are tough if you dont push all the way through with a fully upgraded squad. i think they turned up the urb on reinforcements and armor. ive had the enemy reinforce twice within a minute of spawning at the start of the map. try using commandos to stealth and then tnt. their fast movement should allow them to move from cover to cover. good…[Read more]

I see. Recon dosen’t seem to agree with my computer and runs fairly badly. It would be cool if URB made a port to another engine, allowing download of the game for offline play. Yes, my game was fully loaded and safe. I had just finished a previous run where i had taken 2 days to get back on schedule. However, when i tried starting this new deployment, firefox gave me a message “a script has stopped running on this page” and when i clicked stop, it loaded into what you see there in the screenshot. Yeah, and why shoot out a machine gun at range if you could just “flank”(Walk within two feet of)it? If it’s a crew operated gun the person would just walk out and attempt to use his primary weapon, which then should make it easy to pick him off, and if it’s an mg42 you would simply close the distance as it should not be able to pin your entire…[Read more]
Hard to flank an MG when there’s a squad of krauts next to it, hah. Also, I was in Mortain so it was nests of the things, not just one at a time. Suppression for days!
