Is it normal for the HVT anti air in recon to drift sideways along the battlefield?

  • While getting through one portion of the trench is simple enough, the difficulty comes, as you said, with the fact the drop box can be in a huge area. And Bird Dog is almost entirely useless, being that they’re much more likely to spot the endless trenches, camps, defensive positions, or other structures on the map. So after you’ve relegated…[Read more]

  • You do NOT have to remain stealthed for dead drop missions. I believe the requirement for killcards is to remain unscathed. Dead drops seems by far the hardest to do this, with the enemy being extremely well entrenched, the entire map grid charlie full of them, and expect lots of fortifications behind them.

  • Wait thatsthe mortar?! Oh wow. I’d seen these things but had no idea what they were.
They just looked like smoke grenade launcher from a vehicle to me, randomly on the ground.

you do realise that’s not a web link, that’s the directory to the file on your computer, hence why you can see it.

Ah yes, I’ve run across one of these myself. No idea what it is either.

    Most informative!
I don’t think people realise that the Recon wiki is very underdeveloped compared to the MnB2 wiki.

I’d add some info, but nothing can be edited right now.

  • This seems like the right place; clicking play URB games takes you to a wordpress sample page.

  • The kill card you suggested sounds perfect!

I’d like to see a more diversified enemy fort, over the same firebase design for both teams.
Or perhaps random base designs each time, with structures like watch towers, heli pad, barracks building, etc, and the base could also have a variable size.

  • I like the sound of all of this, the side missions sound awesome, but 200 side missions sounds like a little much to me.

More killcards and equipment and weeapons is always welcome.

  • Deep insertion mission

Nothing like the smell of a evac in the morning

Why take a radio when you can take a M60 and some nades!

So there is, for some reason I didn’t hit forums, and only looked at the drop down list; thanks!

Realise this should have probably gone elsewhere, but I’m not sure, as the forums are for the games, unless I’m missing a section.

    • I’ll have to look into this. It’s not looking good for our wiki as of now.

    • Well there are the General Forums (Hit Forums and you get there) where there is a topic concerning site layout, workings, suggestions and such.
The wiki falls under that too.

Having trouble updating wiki, keep getting the error:

I wasn’t sure if it was a bug, or perhaps some form of URB to be fair, like a radio miscommunication for which kind of chopper to send for, or they send the wrong one, etc.

I think you missed my issue: Helicopters arrived, that I should have been able to board, but they were unable to (as I said above, they weren’t medevacs either). Having more radio’s is a solution, but it’s a solution to something that shouldn’t be a problem

    • That’s happened to me a few times, no clue what to do there, maybe exit Recon and reopen it? Other than just waiting, no clue on how to help you.

In recon, sometimes when the hueys arrive for pickup (not Medevac, regular, including search patrols), they act as medevacs, meaning my guys can’t actually lift off. Particularly annoying, seeing as my radio guy was critical, and I medevaced him, completed the firebase attack, and then when the search party came to pick them up, none of them could…[Read more]

    • Well, I’d suggest having a backup radio man just for that matter. I’d then call in for a secondary EVAC (if possible) and get picked up at the base. OR I’d move to the primary LZ and get extracted there. See if that helps.

    • No! Don’t have two radio men, please don’t. You can carry some useful item then a heavy useless radio.

You simply point out a bug which be report very early. The Search party have a bug that it will become the last Huey type you called. So if you send the radio men to medic Huey, you are done on the ground. Also will happened with secondary LZ…[Read more]

      • Well, I think its a good idea for two radio men, but the second one carries the stuff I would that Ranger would usually carry, but just a radio.

        • Yes! But you occupy a item space, which can provide you more vital equipment. Also add another 20 Bulks to the ranger. All of Recon mission should consider as bring four men back alive first, so I don’t suggest to take two radio. Or maybe in future we will have a small type radio as a kill card can be set as back up, but right now I still suggest…[Read more]

Already checked the wiki: It comes under ‘Support’ and there is very little written about it: crew of 2 to 4: however nothing about how far away they can fire from, so I have no idea what kind of range to search for them from, as well as what they even look like.
Grenades in trenchs is all very well and good, even if you even know where the trench is.
