Ten-hut! Alright, at ease! Just checking.
It's been a while since the last newsletter, so it is high time for a roundup of what happened with the community in these past months. Brought to you by our Deputy Editor in Chief, Lance, a small staff of editors and the members of our great community:

This Sunday we've uploaded another Bloody Sunday cartoon, which you can view by clicking here. It is the second one to feature a caption chosen in a contest between forum members.
Now it's time to take the contesting further. All you URB-loving artists out there are called upon to draw a cartoon by yourselves following the theme and general guidelines contained in this thread.
The unartistically inclined can then look upon them with an air of disinterest and casually pass down their condescending judgement. The surviving entry will then have a caption-writing contest for it. See, there's something for everyone! Posted on: Sunday, June 24 (1080 reads)

First of all, let's start with the Bloody Sunday this week, which you may find here.
Onto other news now!
Our contests had encountered quite a lack of submissions this month, and the first ever Special Edition Guide of the Month was won by default by the only competitor, Deathbringer23.
Our second contest, the Google SketchUp Barracks modeling contest saw a bit more submissions, but it is still at only 2 entries (which will win 1st and 2nd place by default). If you want to help the site out, submit your model today, since the contest ends in less than a week!

From what we have gathered solely about the upcoming Xmas patch, we are able to give you a quick teaser for what's going to happen with Mud and Blood 2. You can click here for the details, and stay tuned for the Xmas patch, the Newsletter, and the complete Q&A posting.

Since MNB3 scale is a bit more close to the actual infantry aspect of the battle, additional effort is put into the actual AI of the enemies and also the level of details of their uniforms.
Gas mask, canteen and a utility pouch is now worn by the German soldier instead of being a re colored generic soldier. You can also notice that the rifle is more representative of what a Mauser looks like from the top.
A special attention as been given to colors so it reflects the actual uniform of the German troops; same with weapons.
Combined with the additional details and new animations (reload for sure and sprint, and possibly kick, punch, grenade toss) the battle field will be more color full, fun to watch and will give better cue to the commander on whats going on.

Starting this month, we'll be bringing the spotlight on the best strategy guides that the community has produced in what has now been a year since this website went online.
This month's winning strategy, by popular vote, is Riderx's Strategy from Tips and Tricks, posted in the MnB Wiki. Well illustrated, didatic, flexible and organized, it's very easy to understand and will help you build a good, competent defense.
Next month we'll have another poll, so if you want to participate, stop by our User Made Guides forum in the beginning of July. Posted on: Thursday, June 16 (2687 reads)

June 6th will be the 67th anniversary of D-Day, and in remembrance of the importance and weight of the events centered on that date, MnB commanders who manage to defend their lines with competence, reaching the 100th wave, will receive a special ribbon:

Good day folks. I'm affrais to anounce that the patch that was scheduled to get out soon will be delayed for a couple of weeks and is likely to hit mochi for internal testing around Easter this year. This said, there is nothing to worry about. The patch is being worked on (as recon) regularly but the upload will not happen as fast as initially thought because I'm out of the urb command center for few weeks.
This said hit the jump for a feature list.

Mud and Blood commanders rejoice. This is an early warning that 2.2.8 is getting finalized as of now. I'm not gonna shell out a release date because when I do it always bite me in the arse but if I had to say one it would be this weekend :) But I never said that. Since it is a time frame that is less likely to be met.Posted on: Thursday, February 17 (4718 reads)

Don't worry folks the patch is getting wrapped up and the final details are getting polished before the release that is set for today (East time).
Looks like santa decided to skip the battlefields of Normandy this year claiming that being brutal is not a good way to get gifts. As we speak, we are gearing a tactical squad for a north pole bust at an igloo reportedly used as a safe house by a fat old man with a red suit. We will make sure his arse will be on the field for the rest of December.
